JORVIK

JORVIK is an interactive, immersive play – inspired by the Viking sagas and the great tradition of communal storytelling. Expect celebration, song, combat, larger than life characters and plenty of toasting! Fun, fierce and with a lot of heart.

This is a piece of new writing that explores the modern day through the Viking lens. We aren’t as different from our ancestors as we think. Our desires – while modern at a glance – are deeply rooted in the same human condition: the obsession with glory, fate, and the need to be remembered.

JORVIK explores the idea of legacy, loss, glory and family. It serves as a reminder that we need to enjoy life whilst we are still around to do so, and to cherish those we hold dear. Powerful, raw, intense, and wonderfully choreographed to bring the audience into a world of theatre.
