Following a hugely successful third tour, Emergence, the postgraduate dance company of Joss Arnott Dance and the University of Salford, returns with a new cohort of 15 dancers, 3 new works and the chance to see a reimagining of one of Arnott’s acclaimed productions

 Gaga choreographer Gosia Mielech’s raw, authentic and passionate piece explores the idea of totality and what it means to live life in a total way. Kevin Finnan, the artistic director of Motionhouse, presents a physically charged and seamless piece brought to life on stage capturing the virtuosity of the dancers. The third new work in the programme has been choreographed by Vidya Patel who has collaborated with the dancers to explore an exciting and new dance language through Kathak influenced movement and rhythms.

Joss Arnott completes the bill with Wild Shadows, his exhilarating, technical masterpiece featuring a cinematic music score and stunning lighting.

Every Emergence show will also be LIVESTREAMED on Vimeo at the same time. You can find tickets for the livestream on this page, alongside the live show. Please ensure you have bought the right ticket to the right experience for you.

On the day of the event, livestream audiences will be emailed an exclusive link to where the livestream will commence.

Please note all donations come with 50-60p booking fee.

Pay What You Can is an ‘honesty box’ for the theatre. We and the artists will continue to programme and produce high quality events and ask you to pay what you can afford.

As a guide, for those in full time employment we would appreciate you paying between £5 and £15. We also understand people’s income can be precarious, hence the lower price options. All revenue from ticket sales for events at New Adelphi Theatre will always go back to support professional artists, through residencies, commissions, touring work or for more bespoke projects where the student experience is enhanced through co-creation with arts professionals. We thank you for all your continued support.

Please note: Checking the wheelchair option will also reserve a free seat for an essential companion.

If you require limited mobility access (step-free), please let a member of staff know upon arrival.

When you arrive, the Box Office only needs to take the ticketholder’s name to check you in, however we can also scan any printed ticket or e-ticket you may present.
